Submissions engine update Sept 2, 2020

Hello All,

The submission engine is online and will currently accept your GMAIL credentials. As of this morning (Sept 2, 2020 @ 09:30 hrs. MST) the back-end is to GMAIL is still updating and may not be functioning in all regions. This will resolve in a few hours.

We are targeting next week to federate to Facebook, allowing for logging in with Facebook credentials. Please note you can only use one or the other.

Submission Engine – online September 1, 2020

Hello All,

Just a reminder to all, the submission engine will be online September 1st. We delayed brining it online with the extended deadline to minimize misuse, (security), of the system.

We are looking forward to the entries this year and have heard that many of you are almost ready to submit your TenScaryMinutes horror movie entries! Stay tuned fans!

Submission Deadline Extended to October 31st!

Attention Horror Movie Producers and Fans of TenScaryMinutes.com!!

A number of students and participating schools have requested we extend the submissions deadline for the 2020 Edition of TenScaryMinutes due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it has had on production planning.

We have opted to extend the deadline to October 31. This then moves the judging to occur between November 1st to November 31st, with the announcements December 1st. We hope this change for 2020 will all all to participate in this year’s contest.

2019 Winner – A Peel of Thunder

Hello Horror Fans!

This year’s winner is a film by Tyler Kraft… A Peel of Thunder!

This was an awesome film with horror themed camp and comedy. Congratulations to the team behind A Peel of Thunder!

Congratulations to all teams who submitted this year and thank you all for participating in the 2019 – Ten Scary Minutes online horror movie making contest! I sincerely hope the experience making your movie created lasting memories with you and your team and that you will consider entering next year, more importantly consider a career in digital media.

2019 the 7th Annual Ten Scary Minutes contest

Good Morning All!

The submissions are now closed for this year’s edition of the horror movie contest and we have 22 awesome entries! Thank you all to those who have participated, putting all the hard work in developing your movies! I sincerely hoped you had fun, made memories with you cast and crew and above all, learned that you can accomplish things you really want with a little help from your friends.

Every year, we find the production quality of the entries gets better and the stories are very creative and the TenScaryMinutes judges will have the task of reviewing each horror movie. We will announce the winner October 31!

Submission Engine for 2019

Good Morning All,

After some long hours of work out Technical Producer/Executive Alex has completed the fixes to the 2019 Ten Scary Minutes submission engine. To submit your entry, click on the “LOGIN With FACEBOOK” on the top right corner. This will take to to the horror movie contest submission engine which is secured. As we have added SSL to the horror movie contest submission engine. This means you may have to clear your browser cache if you encounter an error.

2018 TenScaryMinutes Winner

Good Morning All,

It is the day after Halloween and I hope you all had a fun Hallows eve! I want to thank all participants in this year’s contest for the awesome productions. The TenScaryMinutes team hope that your experiences in creating your production were fun and great shared memories were made with your team.

Our runner up for this year is, “A Special Night”, written and directed by Caleb Elijah. This year’s winner is, “Catfish”, written and directed by Aujolie Baker. Congratulations!

There was so much talent and tremendous potential demonstrated in this year’s submissions. My sincerest hope is that one day, I will be going to the movie theatre or watching Netflix and seeing your movies. Thank you for all for your efforts and participating in TenScaryMinutes!

Submission Engine is now online!!!

Hello All,

The submission engine is now online. In the top right corner, you will see the FaceBook login. Login and you will then enter you credits and details, then you will be able to upload your video.

Your video will then post 24 hours later in the 2018 submissions gallery. Each video is reviewed for content prior to being released.
