Tens Scary Minutes would gratefully like to acknowledge the following people who make up our judging and advisory group.

Mr. Horror
Larger than life super fan!

Nicky Jones (aka Mr. Horror) is a New York native. Born, raised… and currently residing in New York City NY. Hailing from a mostly religious family, Nicky grew up being the very antithesis to such things. While his family’s religious roots were respected, they never quite piqued his interest as much as shooting hoops, gaming and watching horror movies with his friends. His first horror experience was seeing the movie ‘Child’s Play’ at age 9. After that, it was a steady diet of genre fare which included ‘Hellraiser,’ Full Moon movies such as ‘Demonic Toys’, ‘Puppet Master’ and others.

From there… it was time for classics such as John Carpenter’s ‘Halloween’ and ‘The Thing.’ Fast-forward past High School and College life, he then landed a working class – tech related gig for a steady day job but his love for the genre followed him into adulthood. That’s when he started the website Horrormoviesandstuff.com in 2006. The site begun as a small forum for genre fans to come and banter about horror flicks. But eventually grew into an burgeoning online resource for horror movie news, reviews, interviews, upcoming horror films and more.

A decade later, the site remains one of the more intriguing online-based horror publications. Due to its breezy but informative articles, ability to adapt to the ever-changing genre landscape, and old school horror site feel. Lately… Horrormoviesandstuff has focused more on growing its social media-based reach. Becoming brand ambassadors, influencers and advertisers to film and entertainment companies, brands and more. While plans for an intense, sleek, visually interactive NEW version of the official site. Progress onward.

The Horror Honeys

Head Honey – Kat
Being Head Honey is a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it. Acting as Webmistress, Editor, Honey Collector, Twitter weapon, and Media Liaison… in short, I’m the bitch in charge.

Revenge Honey – Linnie
I write about revenge films because I think they say something important about not just horror, but people in general. What drives a woman to chase a man through the woods and slice his balls off? What does it take to make a man cut out his own tongue? How far do a group of disenfranchised people have to be pushed to turn a bitchy trapeze artist into a human chicken? These are questions that demand answers and damnit; I want to answer them!

You can follow me on Twitter. I write books, scripts, and stories about spooky things. If you are in the Seattle area and want me to attend your screenings/signings/haunted house openings, email me. Unless the screening is in your living room or your movie sucks.

Zombie Honey – Bella
Why am I the Zombie Honey? It’s not just because I sometimes go into a blind rage and destroy everything around me or because when I’m hungry I cannot word. It’s because the zombie sub-genre of horror is an endless realm of possibilities and probabilities. Zombie horror single-handedly kept me in friendships, made me question medical research, and helped me become a good shot shooting (if you get that reference, good on ya). The ever increasing zombie horror vault keeps me redefining what a zombie is and figuring out how I’m going to protect myself from them. And, should I fail, how I’m going to turn all of you into one of us.
